• Notes

  William and Catherine had a large family of 7 sons and 6 daughters over a period of 27 years. Their first child Caroline died infant (but his chart also indicates that she survived to adulthood). No death records have been found for Richard and Thomas, but the St Catherines Index has not been searched. William and Catherine appear to have given their children a good education and the sons prospered in after life (sic) and the daughters were involved in the Church of England, as two of their wills show. Dennis Jacombs is of the opinion that Catherine was of a religious nature and also brought money into the family. Today there are no living descendants of William and Catherine in the Birmingham area, at least on the male side, and as far as can be found, only one family in England today, in the Bournemouth, Devon area. Dennis made contact around 1988, but no contact after that.
