  Maryanne's baptism on 25 Aug 1857 is recorded in the Catholic Registers at the National Library of Ireland. Her father's name is given as Forbes Synnot, and her mother as Cathe Mulligan. The sponsor was Mary McDonnell. There is a Mary Anne Mulligan listed in the Dublin Poor Law Unions Board of Guardians Minute Books on findmypast in 1862. She was born in the hospital of the Female Convict Prison to Alicia Mulligan on 25 Jul 1862. Her mother died 3 Aug 1862, and Mary Anne was admitted by the Guardians of the Dublin North Poor Law Union Board. The child was not Mary Anne Synnot.
