      'James of Rosegarland = Anstace Synnot. F Vol 31 p474]
      living there in 1614. Will dated 6 Dec. 1624
      He is mentioned in the S. P. Irel. as of Rosegarland in 1598, & is suspected of being in complicity with the rebels there. 14 Dec 1598 S. P. Vol 202, p26 Pt. 4.
      In 1620 he made a recognizance in £50 concerning Kilbreny & Clonfadd to Thos. Cullen of Cullenstown, the father of the wife of his son Pierce. see G Vol 2, p186 & E No. 19389, p. 43. He bought Sir O Lamberts interest in Rosegarland for £309 Ap. 1604. G Vol 2, p187.
      His will is mentioned in F Vol 36, pp. 7-8, & is witnessed by Nicholas Hore of Pole Hore.'
