  • Notes

    • William was a mail driver and retired from the Railways in 1945. In 1962, he entered the St Joseph's Home for the Aged, 2 Lower Circular Rd, Calcutta. He may have got in through the influence of his aunt Christina, known as Sister Emmanuelle of Little Sisters of the Poor, who ran the Home. He did not like it and returned to his home. William was killed in a car crash shortly after, and was buried in the same grave as his father.
