      ‘Patrick Synnot of Newcastle.[4] = Ellin dau of ... Hore Esqr.[5]
      Killed by the Tories on 24 March 1654. Buried at Malrankan. Will deposed 1 Ap. 1654.
      [4] Philip in F. Vol 31, p473 & Vol 36, p.7. in the latter there is this entry from the Prerogative Office, Enniscorthy: -
      Deposed will of Phillipp Synnott late of Newcastle; dated 1st April 1654. "Memo that Phillipp Synnott, late of Newcastle
      "being death wounded by the Toaries the 24th of March last,
      "& being in perferc mynde, &c, "desires to be buried at Malrankan, leaves half his goods to his wife Ellin Hore, has two sons Patrick & James.
